The new coalition government and the policies that it is choosing to enforce are certainly making waves in the job market.

This is a huge announcement that some will find distressing, however it is a vital part of this government's efforts to reduce the country's budget deficit.
This announcement will have huge repercussions on the job market for the next few years. With half a million less jobs in the public sector, the private sector will have to look to create another half a million jobs. Whether or not these jobs will be created will depend on the country's recovery from the recent recession.
